Covid-19 Latest Information for Clients and Chauffeurs

BAW Chauffeurs have taken exceptional steps to ensure the safety of both our clients and chauffeurs during this pandemic.  We are following all the current Government recommendations for transport providers to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Staff Training

We are continuing with our current inhouse training programme, as well as online courses for various industry, which to date have included Covid-19 Prevention and Safe Sets Covid-19 for the Film and Video Production Industry.

Vehicle Hygiene

Prior to each new client entering the vehicle, our chauffeurs will clean all surfaces that you are likely to come into contact with, including seats, door handles, seat belts, control buttons, chargers and cables.  This will be done thoroughly using the recommended anti-bacterial and anti-viral sprays and wipes.

Our chauffeur will then ensure their hands are washed correctly according to Public Health Guidelines before entering the vehicle.

 

Chauffeur Hygiene

 

We have introduced daily latteral flow testing for all drivers.  In the event that one of our chauffeurs becomes aware that they have come into contact with an infected individual, or that they have symptoms themselves, they will immediately self-isolate and withdraw from service until completely recovered or until the recommended isolation period ends.

All of our chauffeurs and staff have been advised to be vigilant with their own personal hygiene as well as the vehicle hygiene procedures.

Meeting and Greeting Procedures

If you have requested a meet and greet service, please do not be offended if the chauffeur does not offer to shake your hand.  All our chauffeurs have been trained to refrain from physical contact with our clients.

Upon arrival at your vehicle, you will be offered hand sanitiser.

Social Distancing

Whilst there have been no scientific studies, experts recommend the safest place to sit is directly behind your chauffeur.

Prestige Vehicles (Audi A8/Mercedes S Class) – passengers will be limited to 2 and will be seated in the rear of the vehicle behind the driver

Executive Vehicles (Mercedes E Class/BMW 5 Series) – passengers will be limited to 2 and will be seated in the rear of the vehicle behind the driver

Executive Minibus – for groups of 3 or more people and will be seated as far apart as possible

Magazines and Newspapers

These will no longer be provided in the vehicles due to the level of risk as mentioned by the World Health Organisation.

Bottled water will still be available

PPE

To assist our clients with their luggage and minimise contact, our chauffeurs will wear gloves when handling luggage/bags.

Whilst there is no requirement from the Government for our chauffeurs to wear masks, they will be available for our passengers if required.

Covid-19

BAW Chauffeurs will continue to manage the risk of this virus to both our clients and staff and do everything in our power to ensure their safety.
